Sound corporate spirit means to create positive energy and this is only possible in the moral sphere, through the emphasis on honesty, fairness and high performance standards.

But to have any effect we must have a process.  We need best practices, not good intentions or exhortations.   To get effect this moral sphere - corporate morality - must be completely independent of people’s abilities and attitudes.  It should be a noticeable behavior - something everyone can do, see and evaluate.

A company cannot exist if it does not make profit. 

The business cycle has its upward and downward trends.  During protracted declines many leaders are forced to cut staff, colleagues... This is the most unpleasant task in the life of every manager.  But true leadership requires even this task to be executed fairly and in principle.

One possible approach is the "20-70-10" approach..

In some convention we may say that the damage from the manager's indecision is directly proportional to the number of his subordinates. If in a team of three, indecision has modest negative impact, in a company of 33 that same indecision causes organizational inefficiency (chaos).

There are so many books and articles about how to get more organized that even if I borrow the nine lives of my cat I still won’t be able to read all of them. But I will always find 7-8 minutes to make a short test to determine my present organizational skills.

We all work hard, work without end, and work is still there.  Do you work too much? If you are a manager and a workaholic, you unconsciously overburden the subordinates ...

But if you know you're a workaholic, you might start to spare yourself.
